Battlefield 2042 System Requirements

Battlefield 2042 will be available on the two big next-gen consoles, the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series-X, as well as on Windows PC. We do not have definitive details of the system requirements for the game as of yet, but below you can see the best estimates for both the minimum and recommended system requirements. These will be subject to change as the game approaches release.

Battlefield 2042 is Dice’s return to a fully multiplayer-focused game as there will be no campaign or singleplayer element this time. There will still be an element of narrative to the game however, as players fight on behalf of the U.S.A, Russia, or the No-Pats (Non-Patriated) in a world destabilized by fuel and food shortages and climate change.

As stated the below are only estimated system requirements pages and are subject to change as more information on the game comes out closer to the release date.

Battlefield 2042 Recommended System Requirements

• CPU : Intel Core i7-5820K / AMD Ryzen 5 2600
• RAM : 16 GB RAM
• GPU / Video Card : GeForce RTX 3070 / Radeon RX 6800
• Storage : TBC
• Operating System : Windows 10 or later (64-bit)

To run Battlefield 2042 on the lower settings at 1080p, something as powerful as our $600 self-build or similar is what you’ll need. For those higher graphical settings, a $1,500 build is what you’ll want to achieve competitive FPS or possibly as high as our $2,000 build if you’re planning on playing at 1440p or above.

Obviously, not everyone wants to put their own PC together (despite the benefits in performance/price it can bring), so we’d also suggest one of our pre-builds for under $800 to play the lowest settings at 1080p with no issue. For those higher graphical settings however you will need a PC at least as powerful as our $1,500 pre-build or $2,000 pre-build if you’re thinking of going 1440p or higher.
